David R. Cisna, age 74 of Marengo, Iowa, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 1, 2013, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
David is survived by his wife Linda; a daughter Christi Ehrle (Gary) of Humboldt, Iowa, a son Craig Cisna (fiancee Heather Link) of Warrensburg, MO; two step-daughters, Cindy Becker (fiance Dan Sholte) of San Antonio, TX, and Sherry Wille (Kevin) of Marengo; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
David Roger Cisna was born January 24, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Roger D. Cisna and Vera C. Borchers. He graduated from West High School, Waterloo, in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years. David was employed as a gas station attendant and later worked as a machine operator at a rock quarry. He married Linda Flack Fulmer on May 31, 2008 at Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine. The couple resided in Marengo. David enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye games and car races. He liked to attend Bible study group, play bingo, watching television, and just visiting with his family and friends. When he was young he enjoyed swimming, water-skiing and bowling.
