Christine Anne Moon, age 60 of Belle Plaine, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at her home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband Michael Moon; a daughter Michelle McCord (Jason Hudepohl) of Marengo; three grandchildren Brayden, Averee and Kamryn Hudepohl; two brothers, Mark Hanks of Marion, and Mike Hanks of Cedar Rapids; and a sister Terry Primrose (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Darlene Vaughn Hanks.
Christine Anne Hanks was born July 23, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Aaron and Darlene Vaughn Hanks. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids with the Class of 1970. Christine was an inspector at Amana Refrigeration for 35 years. She married Michael Moon on September 29, 2000 in Marengo, Iowa. Christine enjoyed cooking, and Nascar, especially Tony Stewart. She was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. But most of all, Christine enjoyed being called “Maga Moon” by her grandchildren and spending time with them.
