Judith Carol Moore, age 70 of Amana, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her home. Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 4, 2014, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Elder Jon Childers officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, rural Norway, Iowa. Visitation: 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to Essence of Life Hospice, Amana.
She is survived by her husband Jim Reihmann of Amana; step-children, Lisa Pazour (Mike) of Ojibwa, WI, and Eric Reihmann (Marsha) of Amana; step-grandchildren, Michael and Derek Pazour, and Caleb, Adam, and Miranda Reihmann; two sisters, Rosely Plotz of Norway, and Kaye Lynne Davis of Lewisburg, TN; a niece Tami Dooley (Kenneth) and family Jason and James of Pulaski, TN, and nephew Shawn Davis (Wendy) and family Brittany, Rachel and Catherine of Cornersville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judith Carol Ahrenholtz was born August 11, 1944 in Defiance, Iowa, the daughter of Neal Kenneth and Dorothy Irene Olson Ahrenholtz. She graduated from Hot Springs High School, Hot Springs, AR with the Class of 1962. She married Troy Moore in 1966. The couple divorced in 1969. Judi worked for National Rejectors in Hot Springs for 18 years before moving to the Amanas. Judi married the love of her life, James Reihmann on November 23, 1985 in Marengo. She was employed at the Amana Woolen Mill, retiring after 23 years.
Judi enjoyed horse racing, mushroom hunting, gardening, gambling, and travel. She was a wonderful hostess, and organized many Friday night get-togethers. Fishfrys were her specialty.
Judi’s zest for living was only surpassed by her long and courageous battle with cancer. She will be missed by all her family and friends and especially her dog Icecream Sundae.
