This union was blessed with four sons. She died May 8, 1973. Bob farmed with his brother-in-law Wilbur Shine. He then worked with Mel Uridil as a mechanic in Victor. On August 9, 1975, he married Jacqueline Wagner in Marengo. The couple made their home in Marengo, where Bob worked for many years with the Chevy Garage and Breezes Auto Parts. He owned and operated the Phillips 66 Station in Marengo for several years. He eventually went to work at Amana Refrigeration, retiring from there.
